Wildlife Issues

This is Florida.

All sorts of wildlife have been seen wandering though yards including armadillos, raccoons, bobcats, foxes, many kinds of birds including sand hill cranes and buzzards, snakes, turtles and tortoises, alligators and wild hogs. It is illegal to feed or entice any of them, resulting in large fines (and potential danger to your family or pets). There are also invasive animals that you may encounter like Cuban tree frogs. (Fl Statute Title XXVII Chapter 379, #379.412)

Please avoid the animals.  You do not want them to associate you or your pets with food.  The young ones are very cute but their parents are very protective. They can be extremely dangerous.  Hillsborough County has a procedure for dealing with nuisance or strangely behaving wildlife. Contact your HOA board for information.
